Berhati-hati dengan click fraud, kecurangan klik dalam link PPC. Click Fraud adalah masalah besar dalam jaringan PPC, dan terjadi karena 2 hal:

1. Competitor/pesaing, pemilik bisnis kadang mengklik iklan yang kedudukannya lebih tinggi dari mereka, dengan maksud mendapatkan posisi lebih tinggi dengan mendepak pesaingnya keluar dari arena – dengan alasan karena kehabisan dana iklan atau menakuti pemilik bisnis sampai akhirnya mereka menurunkan penawarannya.
2. Site scamming the search engine, pemilik situs yang menjalankan AdWord dalam situsnya (melalui program Adsense), atau program distribusi PPC yang sama, terkadang mengklik sendiri iklan di situs mereka dengan maksud meningkatkan pendapatannya. Ini adalah masalah besar untuk kata kunci yang sangat mahal.
   Kadang klik ini datang secara manual, orangnya sendiri didepan computer dan mengklik iklan yang ada. Atau menggunakan program khusus untuk mengklik iklan tertentu.

Berapa besarkah kasus click fraud ini? Menuruti beberapa perkiraan, kecurangan terjadi pada kisaran 20 % dari semua klik untuk kategori iklan yang sangat kompetitif. Jadi bagaimana anda menyikapinya?

Pertama, perlu diingat bahwa hanya karena beberapa klik yang mungkin terjadi karena kecurangan, bukan berarti PPC tak dapat menguntungkan. Anda dapat mempertimbangkan kecurangan klik sebagai ongkos bisnis. Mungkin memang benar ada pengunjung sebenarnya yang mengklik iklan tapi tidak membeli bukan berarti mereka tidak berarti. Yang penting adalah perhitungan ROI-nya. Apakah ROI Anda sudah benar?

Tentu saja, di beberapa kasus click fraud menjadi masalah yang serius, sampai tidak bisa begitu saja diabaikan, dan membuat PPC total tidak mendatangkan keuntungan. Jadi bagaimana menghindari bahaya click fraud itu?

1. Mengandalkan search engine, semua search engine mengklaim memiliki departemen antifraud, dan Google beberapa waktu ini menentutan orang-orang yang diklaim melakukan click fraud. Di sisi lain, problemnya sangat besar bagi pemasang iklan PPC untuk hanya mengandalkan search engine.
2. Cek aktifitas diluar kebiasaan pada hit logs Anda, apabila Anda melihat tiba-tiba terjadi lonjakan trafik ke situs datang dari iklan, Anda mungkin menjadi korban dari click fraud.
3. Mempertimbangkan untuk menggunakan detector fraud, apabila Anda memiliki budget PPC yang lebih, Anda harus serius untuk mempertimbangkan menggunakan perangkat deteksi kecurangan, terdapat beberapa macam seperti; ClickDetective, Click Defense, Click Risk, Clicklab, dan WhosClickingWho. Sistem ini akan mengarahkan Anda pada orang yang mengklik iklan Anda berulang kali, beberapa detector fraud mengklaim mampu mengidentifikasi ketika orang mengklik dalam satu atau dua kali seminggu.
4. Jangan menawar untuk kata kunci yang sangat mahal, apabila kata kunci anda adalah $50 per klik, percayalah Anda adalah target utama untuk kecurangan! Apabila Anda harus menggunakan kata kunci ini, Anda harus menggunakan perangkat deteksi kecurangan.

Apabila Anda yakin Anda adalah target utama dari click fraud, hubungi jaringan PPC. Mereka akan mengembalikan uang pokok apabila Anda mendorong cukup keras dan meyakinkan mereka Anda benar-benar telah dicurangi.

Why, on your web pages of course. Ok, just kidding. The real question should be: ?Is there really any truth to the rumors that where you place those Google AdSense ads can actually improve response?? According to my best information, the answer to that question is: Yes.

Google?s own AdSense experts say that that there is a direct correlation between the placement of the AdSense ads and the resulting clickthrough.

7. Google offers some really neat features for tracking and one of them is channels. If you have more than one ad unit per page, you can set up a channel for each unit. Again you are better off to stay at less than 3 ads per page. Channels let you know what ads are working best.

8. Check your stats periodically. You want to see your click through rate and your cost per click. By knowing how many visitors it takes to get a click and how much you are making per click you can decide if having a Google Ad on that page is worth it or not.

9. Make sure the ads that are coming up are relevant to the page. If not consider if you have content that is bad, or if your meta tags are set up wrong. Maybe even your header graphic has a bad alt tag.

Lagi-lagi dagelan politik terjadi di Gedung Parlemen. Sidang Paripurna DPR kemarin yang awalnya dimaksudkan untuk menyampaikan rekomendasi soal jadi tidaknya status bencana lumpur Lapindo justru beralih menjadi interpelasi. Rupanya, anggota Dewan tak sepaham tentang keputusan yang telah diketok palu oleh pimpinan sidang itu.Dalam pertemuan Rabu (20/2) siang tadi, pimpinan rapat bersiteguh bahwa paripurna mengetok palu soal diperpanjangnya kerja tim pemantau kasus Lapindo. Namun sebagian anggota Dewan lain bersikeras agar kasus Lapindo dibawa ke interpelasi babak kedua.

Anggota tim pemantau penanggulangan lumpur Lapindo, Ade Daud Nasution, justru menyalahkan pimpinan sidang yang terlalu cepat menutup Rapat Paripurna. Sementara pengamat politik Arbi Sanit dan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Djoko Kirmanto menilai hasil paripurna kemarin memang membingungkan.

Pemerintah mulai Juni mendatang akan membatasi pembelian premium dan solar bersubsidi untuk sepeda motor dan mobil. Sedangkan kendaraan umum masih disubsidi penuh. Menurut informasi yang didapat Rabu (13/2) menyebutkan, sepeda motor hanya boleh membeli premium dan solar bersubsidi 0,5 sampai satu liter, sedangkan mobil pribadi empat sampai lima liter tiap harinya.Sejumlah warga yang ditemui menanggapi beragam rencana tersebut. Sebagian warga setuju, namun ada juga yang tidak sepakat dengan kebijakan tersebut. “Pekerjaan saya muter-muter Jakarta. Kalau hanya satu liter, berat,” kata salah satu pengendara sepeda motor [baca: Smart Card, Kartu BBM Bersubsidi].

Direktur Utama Pertamina Ari H. Soemarno meminta masyarakat tenang karena perusahaan minyak negara itu akan berupaya agar program ini tidak menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi masyarakat seperti antrean dan kelangkaan. Pembatasan penggunaan premium dan solar bersubsidi ini adalah bagian dari rencana pemerintah untuk menghemat subsidi 10 triliun rupiah yang akan digunakan untuk menstabilkan harga sembilan bahan pokok.
